A brocante is a traditional French second-hand and antique store, offering a mix of furniture, decorative pieces, kitchenware, and seasonal garden finds—perfect for furnishing and adding authentic character to your holiday home in the Creuse.
We regularly source new pieces, offer online browsing, and can arrange purchase and delivery (for an additional fee) to help you create a home that reflects the history and charm of the region.

Many of the antiques featured in our Chambres & Table d'Hôtes have been personally sourced by the owner, Helen, and reflect the same standard of quality and aesthetic available in the brocante. Guests often find that the pieces they admire in their rooms or throughout the main house are also available for purchase, creating a seamless connection between your stay and your own home design inspiration.
We specialize in pieces that balance heritage and practicality, making them ideal for both full-time residences and holiday homes in the Creuse. Whether you are furnishing an entire property or selecting a few key items to complete a room, our brocante serves as a trusted resource for those who value quality at accessible prices. In addition, Helen creates a small collection of handmade accent pieces, including candles, linen items, and decorative cushions—ideal for gift giving or adding refined finishing touches. Wherever possible, materials are locally sourced, reinforcing our connection to the region.
Our inventory is constantly evolving, with new finds, seasonal décor, and garden elements arriving regularly. With the brocante officially opening May 1, 2026, we invite you to plan an antique-hunting escape to the Creuse—where you can discover regional treasures, enjoy accessible prices, and leave with pieces that bring the charm of France into your home.
Our summer opening hours are generally Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you're unable to visit in person, we are happy to offer video-conference viewings of available items, as well as special appointment times during the Fall and Winter seasons.
